Matching games are good for helping children with memory, problem solving and concentration.
Find about 20 pictures your child will like in old magazines, for instance a picture of a car or a face. Cut the pictures in half. Place one half of all the pictures on the floor and ask your child to put the pictures back together again.
Put a lid on it
Take the lids off a variety of empty containers. They can be anything ranging from coffee jars to empty orange juice bottles. Put all the containers on the table and ask your child to team them with the matching lids.
Sort the socks
This is a good activity to do with your pre-schooler when you are trying to fold washing. Give your child a big pile of socks and ask them to team each sock with its corresponding sock.
